John Hogan

John, a professional guitarist based in Brisbane, discovered his love for the instrument at a young age while growing up in Sydney. His musical journey began by playing in rock bands in the western suburbs of Sydney, where he quickly gained recognition as a talented guitarist and educator while also studying classical guitar.
Establishing himself in the music scene, John went on to run a guitar teaching studio in Mona Vale, Sydney. This dual role as a performer and educator showcased his dedication to both his own craft and the growth of others in the music community.
In the early 90s, John decided to make Brisbane his home, shifting his focus primarily to live performances. Since then, he has been an integral part of the Brisbane music scene, collaborating with some of the city's leading musicians. His performances have graced prestigious venues such as the Brisbane Jazz Club, Ipswich Jazz Festival, and Parliament House, highlighting his versatility and recognition in the local music circuit.
