Jasmine Atkinson

Jasmine is an accomplished pianist and highly regarded musician with 25 years’ experience as a performer, teacher, and accompanist. She teaches a range of different piano and clarinet methods, from classical AMEB styles to early childhood methods.

Born in Sydney, Jasmine studied for 6 years at the Sydney Conservatorium with Dutch/ Australian Maestro, Gerard Willems, and Clarinettist/composer, Mark Walton.

She gained her certificate C.S.C.M in 1994 and was also the runner up of the AMEB Concerto Competition, gaining also her A.Mus A on Clarinet at 16 years of age.

After High school Jasmine won a scholarship to Europe to study clarinet with Andrew Marriner in London and Pascal Moragues at the Paris Conservatoire. Upon returning, she joined the Royal Australian Air Force Band for 4 years as a clarinettist and was chosen as a soloist to perform with the highly acclaimed Band on Tour of Australia.

For 25 years Jasmine has taught privately and throughout many schools in Sydney and Brisbane while raising 7 children. During these years she has gained her L. Mus A on Clarinet and Piano. She is also highly sought after as a piano accompanist for church and school choirs.
