Jasmin Thompson

Jasmin’s passion for music began when she was 5 years old. She is an AMEB trained pianist, violinist, guitarist, and vocalist. She was accepted into the Young Griffith Conservatorium for drums and percussion at age 12 and was additionally a part of Opera Australia’s 2015 regional tour production, ‘The Magic Flute.’ Jasmin offers lessons in drums, piano, guitar, violin and vocal.

During her adolescent years, she participated in school musicals and ensembles such as stage band, percussion ensemble, string orchestra, symphonic band, and choir. She represented her school at music competitions such as Fanfare and Sunshine Coast Eisteddfods. She was also invited to attend the Instrumental Music Excellence Program and State Honours Ensemble Programs from 2015-2019.

Jasmin has performed original and cover songs at various venues across the Sunshine Coast and Brisbane including nursing homes, Woodford Folk Festival and Lord Mayor’s City Hall. From these experiences, Jasmin can help prepare students for exams, auditions, and performances.

She strives to create a fun and supportive learning environment for all students, as well as guide them on a path towards music excellency.
