Amy Thompson

Captivated since childhood, Amy began her music journey at age 3. She is an AMEB-trained classical pianist, violinist, and vocalist. She is currently completing a Bachelor of Education at Central Queensland University. Amy offers lessons in guitar, ukulele, piano, vocal, and music theory. Her guitar lessons offer a range of genres, including flamenco, classical jazz, and contemporary. Through her advanced music theory training,

Amy provides teaching in analysing and composing music. Her first-hand experience enables her to prepare students for exams, auditions, and live performances. Amy’s passion for music led her to study a Bachelor of Music at the Queensland Conservatorium. She was awarded a Bursary for an Outstanding Audition in Classical Guitar.

She also has significant experience performing at venues such as Lord Mayor’s City Hall, QPAC, and Queensland Conservatorium Theatre. Amy tailors her teaching to each student’s unique goals.

She strives to create a supportive learning environment for students. This allows students to feel safe in exploring their creativity and experiencing the joy of self-expression through music.
